Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective 1 January 2026. This policy applies to paid membership and Wayfarer Program seats. The open shelves are free and involve no payment, so nothing here restricts them. Statutory rights under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce of the Republic of Korea prevail over anything written here.
1. Membership
- Cooling-off. You may withdraw within seven days of payment for a full refund, provided you have not accessed member-only studies during that period. If you have, we refund the payment minus a pro-rata amount for the days elapsed, as permitted for digital content.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the paid month. We do not charge cancellation fees.
- Failed renewals. If a renewal payment fails, access continues for seven days while we retry, then lapses without penalty.
2. Wayfarer Program seats
- More than seven days before the cohort starts: full refund on request, no reason needed.
- Within seven days of the start, before the first session: refund minus a 10% administrative amount.
- After the first session: pro-rata refund for the weeks not yet delivered.
- After the third session: no refund, but you may transfer your seat once to the next cohort at no charge.
- If we cancel a cohort (for example, if fewer than six readers enroll), you choose between a full refund and a guaranteed seat in the next cohort.
3. How to request
Write to [email protected] or use the contact form with the email address you paid with. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within three business days of confirmation.
4. Disputes
If we cannot resolve a refund disagreement together, you may seek mediation through the Korea Consumer Agency (call 1372 within Korea). Nothing in this policy limits rights you hold by law.
