A library, not a feed
Lucid Wayfarer began in 2023 as a shared folder of notes between three engineers in Seoul who kept answering the same questions about Solana for colleagues. The notes were careful, dated, and full of citations — and they were more useful than anything those colleagues could find in search results. The folder became a shelf, the shelf became a room, and the room is what you are reading now.
What we hold ourselves to
The room runs on three commitments. First, primary sources: if a claim cannot be traced to protocol documentation, client source code, governance records, or a reproducible experiment, it does not go on the shelf. Second, visible upkeep: every piece shows the date it was last reviewed against the live network, and pieces that fall behind are marked rather than quietly abandoned. Third, plain language: we write for an intelligent reader who is new to this particular chain, with direct sentences and glossary links wherever a term first appears.
We hold no token positions and accept no sponsorship from the projects we profile. Ecosystem studies describe how protocols behave; they never advise anyone to buy, sell, or hold anything.
Why English, from Seoul
Much of the careful writing about this network assumes a reader steeped in US startup culture and its idioms. Many of our readers — in Korea and elsewhere — are fluent in English but not in that culture. So we write in a register that travels: short sentences, no sports metaphors, no jokes that depend on a specific country's television history. Where something genuinely Korea-relevant exists in the ecosystem, such as local validator operators or community meetups, we note it plainly.
How the room is funded
