The Wayfarer Program

Six weeks, one fixed path through the shelves, twelve readers per cohort. For people who learn better with a sequence, a deadline, and someone to argue with — and who would rather understand one network properly than skim ten.

Who it is for

Developers, analysts, and researchers who can give the program four to six hours a week. No prior Solana knowledge is assumed; comfort with reading technical material in English is. Committed beginners who have finished the opening shelf are welcome, and the first week is paced with them in mind.

What is included

  • A week-by-week syllabus drawn entirely from the published shelves, sequenced so each piece assumes only what earlier weeks covered
  • One ninety-minute live discussion per week, led by the contributor who wrote that week's material, capped at twelve readers
  • Short weekly devnet exercises with written feedback from a contributor
  • A closing one-to-one review mapping what you should read next, on the shelf or off it

Not included: hardware, tokens, or any promise of employment. The program teaches reading and verification habits, not trading.

The six weeks

Each week pairs reading with one small thing you do yourself. Discussion sessions run in the evening, Korea Standard Time, and are recorded for cohort members who cannot attend live.

  1. Week 1 · The account model

    Reading: the opening shelf. Exercise: inspect three real accounts on devnet and explain, in your own words, what each one stores.

  2. Week 2 · Transactions and the runtime

    Reading: the transaction lifecycle set. Exercise: build, sign, and submit a transaction, then trace its confirmation yourself.

  3. Week 3 · Programs and state

    Reading: the program-deployment guides. Exercise: deploy a minimal program to devnet and read its state back without an SDK helper.

  4. Week 4 · Fees, rent, and ordering

    Reading: the fee-market articles and the priority-fee study. Exercise: reproduce one week of fee data from public endpoints and defend a claim about it.

  5. Week 5 · Validator economics

    Reading: the validator economics study. Exercise: compute an operator's rough break-even from epoch data and present your assumptions to the cohort.

  6. Week 6 · Reading the ecosystem yourself

    Reading: two ecosystem studies of your choice. Exercise: a short written profile of one protocol, sourced and dated to our editorial standard, reviewed in your closing one-to-one.

What completion looks like

You finish with a portfolio of six dated exercises, one sourced protocol profile, and a written next-steps map from your closing review. There is no exam and no certificate with a logo; the proof of the program is work you can show and habits you keep.

Seats, schedule, and price

Cohorts begin on the first Monday of each month and are capped at twelve readers. The program fee is ₩420,000 per seat, payable on enrollment, with a full refund until one week before the start date and pro-rata after the first session — the details are on the refund page.
